Monumental Tournament of Aces 2010
Dear Monumental Golfers,
With winter finally ending (hopefully) our thoughts turn to summer and golf! The hardworking Monumental Tournament of Aces committee is pleased to announce the third annual tournament will take place on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the spectacular Links of Gleneagles golf course in Cochrane. Our new venue will provide many exciting opportunities for your hole in one attempts set with an incredible view of the Rockies and the Bow River valley.Attached to this email you will find tournament and foundation information along with the golfer registration form and sponsorship opportunities. New this year is the opportunity to buy "dinner only" tickets and there is now no age restriction for entrants. As with last year, all cheques for registration and sponsorship should be postdated to October 2, 2010 – this allows you to enter and/or sponsor today before you get busy with the summer. Please be sure to write 2 separate cheques for golf registration to receive your charitable tax receipt. As returning 2009 Monumental golfers you are being given priority to enter the tournament first along with "The Friends of Lindsay" who are on the foundation email list. Many of you will be on both lists so you will be receiving 2 separate emails. On June 23 the tournament will be advertised to the general public so please send in your entry now to avoid disappointment - we want you to be with us for this special day honoring Lindsay and doing great things in her name.Over the past 2 years the tournament has raised $159,000.00 which was used to help complete the twin arena addition at Cochrane's Spray Lake Sawmills Recreation Centre. In keeping with the tournament's mission of leaving a legacy of projects related to Lindsay's passions this year's benefactor is Arts & Culture Foundation Cochrane. We hope to kickstart the building plan for a new arts centre in Cochrane where 2 of Lindsay's favorite pastimes of live theatre and music can thrive along with so many other options for everyone in Cochrane and surrounding communities.
Please help us realize another dream in Lindsay's name by entering, sponsoring, or simply donating to this wonderful event. It is our hope to have over 180 golfers this year at our new world class location so we would love to see you on October 2!

Wanted: A pair of white golf shoes!
Hello everyone
I am working with the Lindsay Kimmett Foundation, organizing entertainment for the event as well recruiting artists to volunteer their skills, providing additional auction items for the live and silent auction for the day
The Foundation has named the ACFC as the recipient of funding to put towards the building of an Arts Centre in Cochrane.
I am looking for a donor that could provide us with new golf shoes or someone that has a pair of white golf shoes in fairly new condition to donate to us. I have an artist who has volunteered to paint one one and am looking for another artist who would like to do the other foot. The completed arts of work will be put up for auction on the day of the Golf Tournament in October
If you have a pair of white golf shoes you would like to donate that would be great we will need them soon so the artist has time to complete the paintings on them.

BEYOND has grown and we will be in the Ballroom and the Heritage Room at the Blackfoot Inn in Calgary. Room for about 50, 5x10 spaces. Plus an Art Walk joining the two rooms.
